Hopkins Schools is updating transportation services for the 2025–26 school year. On April 22, the Hopkins School Board approved three major adjustments: a return to a three-tier bus system, an expansion of the no-bus zone area, and a reduction in bus service for families who live outside the district. These updates are expected to save the district $1–$2 million annually and will change how transportation is provided moving forward.
Families most impacted include:
- Open-enrolled families
- Families living in expanded no-bus zones
- Students attending a school outside their attendance area
Families who are directly impacted will also receive an email outlining their options.
Hopkins resident families will receive an opt-in transportation survey in mid-June, after no-bus zone maps are finalized. Families must complete the survey to be assigned a bus stop.A high-level timeline and more details are available at hopkinsschools.org/transportation.
The website will be updated throughout the summer and we will have extra staff on hand to answer transportation questions to help families.
